"Not what I was hoping for."

As a Street Fighter fan, I really was hoping for more from this. The awesome presentation and setup sure did build up my expectations quite a bit. It's a shame this ended up being such a disappointment.

There were some really good animations amongst this, with some pretty funny observations about the franchise. Unfortunately, it was all dragged down by Newgrounds-quality filthy gags. I'm all for adult gags, and I can see the explicit rating on there, trust me, but was it really necessary to have so many putrid sex-related things? It's quite possible to make fun of Street Fighter while not relying on penises every other short.

It's a real shame because a lot of effort was clearly put into this, but it all comes across as wasted. In place of actual humour, more often than not there's just cheap "lol it's funny because there's sex in it" jokes. Since I'm a fan of Street Fighter and all, I can't help but feel like this wasn't the kind of collab that the series was deserving of.

That said, there were some gems amongst this. The bar scene by JohnnyUtah was genuinely enjoyable (despite the slightly sub-par voice acting), andf El-Cid's was bizarrely giggleworthy. There's a few artists like these who actually dared to buck the trend by not actually putting heaps of sex in there, and I commend them for it.

Overall, starts off fantastic, but then sinks to some genuinely bad lows with the occasional peak of quality, before closing with the gigantic kick in the testicles that was the final animation. And the least said about that disaster the better. All in all, not the best collab by any stretch.

And I share your opinion completely. This was... a tad disturbing to watch, but hilarious and kind of satisfying at the same time. Good stuff.

This and its second part are on the list my favourite flash animations ever. The Monty Python-esque skits, recurring gags and horrible puns make for a very pleasant combination. The fate of Schnappi and the 9/11 simulations are sublime. Love it.
